MOROCCAN SPICE BLEND





Moroccan Spice Blend

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

4 teaspoons paprika

4 teaspoons cumin

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne (or more to taste)


Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to a year.


Notes:

Makes about 1/2 cup.

Especially good as a dry rub on grilled chicken.

This is a warm blend that cries out to be used aggressively. Use a Tablespoon for every 7 ounces of chicken breast, 1/2 Tablespoon for every 4 ounces of salmon, and about 2 tablespoons per pound of vegetables.
