CAROL'S MAGIC SQUARES

CAROL'S MAGIC SQUARES

Carol's Magic Squares

Ingredients:

1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter

1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup butterscotch chips

1 cup shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

1 can sweetened condensed milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Put unopned can of condensed milk in hot water to loosen it up.

Mix cracker crumbs and butter thoroughly and press into the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan.

Sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips. coconut, and pecans (in that order) evenly over the crust.

Open can of sweetened condensed milk and pour it evenly over entire pan.

Bake for 25-30 minutes until slightly brown on the edges.

Cut once the pan has cooled. Keep refrigerated.

Notes:

Let it cool before cutting it. Seriously.

It does help to run a knife along the edges of the pan while warm to avoid the edge pieces sticking to the pan

You can use non-fat sweetened condensed milk to reduce the fat content.

Just kidding. If you're making these, you obviously don't care about saving a few grams of fat.
